Driven By Dirt has always been about pushing boundaries and finding innovative ways to support the speedway community. In our latest venture, we’re excited to announce a partnership with Go Logistics that will bring regular shipping containers from the United States to New Zealand, allowing drivers and merchants to import essential parts at a significantly reduced cost. This initiative is set to change the game for those who rely on timely and affordable access to high-quality speedway parts.

Driven By Dirt Network Director Andrew Neru explains the motivation behind this partnership: “We’ve long recognised the challenges that our drivers and merchants face when it comes to importing parts from the U.S. The costs have been prohibitive, with shipping chassis alone sometimes costing between $1,000 and $3,000 NZD. With this new partnership, we’re bringing those costs down significantly, making it much more affordable for our community.” This isn’t just a minor saving; it’s a game-changer for drivers and merchants who need to import critical components to keep their vehicles in top condition.

The first shipment will take place during the 2025 off-season, a strategic move that allows drivers to restock and prepare for the upcoming season without the pressure of peak demand. However, the flexibility of this partnership is one of its key strengths. “We’re starting with one shipment to test the waters, but we’ve structured our agreement with Go Logistics to allow us to scale up or down depending on demand. If there’s more interest, we’ll bring in more containers. If things slow down, we can adjust accordingly. It’s all about providing a service that’s tailored to the needs of our community,” says Neru.

The types of parts expected to be imported through this service are as diverse as the needs of the drivers themselves. From chassis and engine parts to complete engines and shocks, anything related to a speedway car can be shipped through this new service. This comprehensive approach means that whether you’re a driver looking to rebuild a car or a merchant stocking up on parts, Driven By Dirt and Go Logistics have you covered. “We’re taking care of all the importing documentation and logistics,” adds Neru. “This is a done-for-you solution that leaves drivers and merchants free to focus on what they do best.”

One of the key reasons for our confidence in Go Logistics is our prior experience working with them. “We’ve already used Go Logistics before to import chassis for a client, and their service was impeccable. That’s why we’re so confident that this partnership will deliver the reliability and quality that our drivers and merchants expect,” explains Neru. This track record of success means that those who use this new service can rest assured that their parts will arrive on time.

To make this service as accessible as possible, it will be available through our Driven By Dirt Marketplace. Drivers and merchants can log in, make their booking, and arrange for their shipments with just a few clicks. “We’ve designed this process to be as seamless as possible. We know that our community is busy, so we’ve eliminated as much of the hassle as we can,” says Neru.

Pricing for this service will be based on a per cubic meter rate, making it a highly attractive alternative to the expensive and often unpredictable shipping options currently available. “We expect this service to be highly sought after. It’s not just about saving money; it’s about providing a reliable and efficient service that meets the specific needs of our speedway community,” says Neru.

Looking to the future, Driven By Dirt has even more ambitious plans in store. “We already have future plans with Go Logistics, but we can’t dive into them yet,” teases Neru. While he remains tight-lipped about what’s to come, it’s clear that this partnership is just the beginning of a broader strategy to support the speedway community in new and innovative ways.

To sum it up, this partnership between Driven By Dirt and Go Logistics is more than just a business arrangement; it’s a commitment to the drivers and merchants who are the backbone of the speedway scene. By reducing costs, simplifying logistics, and ensuring reliability, we’re making it easier for our community to get the parts they need when they need them. It’s all part of our mission to keep the wheels turning, both on and off the track.
